The Meeting will be organized by GLOBE Asia and Pacific Region Coordination Office in cooperation with, GLOBE Maldives, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and GLOBE Implementation Office, USA.

The GLOBE Asia and Pacific regional meeting is hosted every Summer in one of the Asia and Pacific region countries. Network with fellow GLOBE members who share your passion for learning about and protecting our planet.

Information for Country Coordinators and RM Participants

The GLOBE Asia - pacific Regional Meeting will take place at the conference room of GLOBE – Maldives - Environmental Protection Agency, Male, Maldives.

Transportation to Malé and hulhumale

Malé is well accessible by plane. Hulhumale is well connected to bus and Taxi from Airport

Guidelines for financial support – for CCs and ACCs only

The GLOBE Implementation Office (GIO) is kindly providing financial assistance to be used for each country that sent Country Report for 2024 (April’23 – March’24) and completed GLOBE Annual Survey for 2023.The applicant(s) for support should be:

  • Country Coordinator;
  • If Country Coordinator cannot come: assistant/deputy CC;
  • If both cannot come: government point of contact.
If a Country Coordinator wants to nominate another person to take his/her place at the GLOBE Regional Meeting for Asia - Pacific, the person has to be listed on the country’s webpage in the globe.gov website.

About the GLOBE Program

The Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Program is an international science and education program. It provides students and the public worldwide with the opportunity to participate in data collection and the scientific process and contribute meaningfully to our understanding of the Earth system and global environment.

There are more than 38500 GLOBE schools in 127 countries around the world. Over 800 thousand students have participated in GLOBE contributing more than 233 million measurements to the GLOBE database for use in their inquiry-based science projects.

About Maldives
